Academic Base: Passed Matriculation / 10th standard exam. For trades like Welder, Carpenter, Plumber, and Mason, a minimum of 8th standard pass is required.
1 Year Duration ITI Qualification (Welder, Plumber, Book Binder, PASAA, etc.)	Rs. 10,560/- Per Month
IGCAR Kalpakkam Apprentice Shortlisting & Selection Process NO WRITTEN EXAM : Candidates will be shortlisted strictly on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in their ITI trade course. ITI Marks Tie-Breaker Formula : In case of a tie in the ITI percentage, the candidate with a higher percentage obtained in their 10th standard (or 8th standard for Welder, Carpenter, Plumber, Mason) will be placed higher on the merit list. Secondary Tie-Breaker Rule : If the school percentage is also identical, the candidate born earlier (older by age) will be considered first. Document Verification (DV) : Shortlisted candidates must physically appear for original certificate re-checking, failing which their selection will be cancelled. A Police Verification Certificate from the local station is mandatory at this stage. Medical Fitness : Final engagement depends on qualifying the standard medical examination prescribed by the competent authority. Training Note : The training period is locked for 1 Year at Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu. There is completely no provision or obligation for permanent regular employment upon course completion. Paid hostel accommodation is provided subject to availability.
