HPPSC HPAS 2026 Selection Scheme & Examination Pattern Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Screening Test) Stage 2: Main Written Examination Stage 3: Personality Test (Interview). Preliminary Examination Pattern (Objective Type | 400 Marks) : • Paper-I: General Studies: 100 Questions (200 Marks) – 2 Hours (Merit determining paper) • Paper-II: Aptitude Test: 100 Questions (200 Marks) – 2 Hours (Qualifying paper with minimum 33% marks) Negative Marking in Prelims : Deductions of 1/3rd (0.33) marks for every wrong answer. Main Examination Structure : Includes 6 Compulsory Papers (English, Hindi, Essay, GS-I, GS-II, GS-III) and 2 Optional Subject Papers. Candidates must score at least 40% in compulsory English & Hindi papers.
