Examination Scheme & Selection Criteria

  • Two Stage Recruitment Process: Stage-1 Written Offline Examination/CBT (300 Marks) and Stage-2 Personal Interview round (30 Marks). Total Evaluation consists of 330 Marks.
  • Written Exam Layout (150 Objective Questions | 3 Hours): Formatted into Part-1 General Knowledge (50 Questions | 100 Marks) and Part-2 Law Segment comprising Major & Minor Legal Acts (100 Questions | 200 Marks). Question sets will be bilingual (Hindi and English).
  • Negative Marking Evaluation: Deductions will be scored using the formula: $MO = M \times R – \frac{1}{3} M \times W$. Each wrong answer subtracts 1/3rd of the marks allocated for that question.
  • Minimum Qualifying Scores: General / Unreserved cadre candidates must secure a minimum threshold of 33% marks in the written test, while SC / ST / OBC / PwBD candidates require a minimum threshold of 23% marks to qualify.
  • Examination Venue Centers: Written examinations are planned across five regional zones: Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Jagdalpur, and Ambikapur.
